Tracking the Storm – Brandon Buck

The Delaware, Ont native, Brandon Buck spent three seasons with the Storm after being signed as an undrafted free agent. Buck had an impressive sophomore season in Guelph boasting 29 goals and 31 assists in 59 games.

Buck left the OHL with an impressive highlight sheet including the Guelph Storm Top Scorer Award (2007-08), Guelph Storm Most Improved Player (2007-08) and he was a 2x Winmar Community Hero Award recipient for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.

Following his time in Guelph, he played in the American Hockey League with the Norfolk Admirals and the Houston Aeros before pursuing a European Career. He began his European career with the Sparta Sarpsborg in Norway where he notched 16 goals and 26 assists in 45 regular-season games. Buck spent much of the following years in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga where he played four seasons with the ERC Ingolstadt and two seasons with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers.

After almost a decade abroad, Buck decided to hang up his skates. He has since returned to Guelph and can be found in a new uniform. In August he was sworn into the Guelph Police Force.
