“Special Olympics Ontario (SOO) thanks the Guelph Storm and Guelph Police Service for their ongoing support of the movement. Since 2007, teams across the Ontario Hockey League have supported SOO with OHL Big Ticket Games which provide much needed funds and awareness to 26,000 athletes living in Ontario with intellectual disabilities. Together, we champion inclusion, acceptance and offer opportunities to many athletes in the Region to participate and thrive in sport. Thank you!”
“Teaming up with Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the 15th straight season is something that makes our entire organization extremely proud. For 53 years, Special Olympics has enriched the lives of Canadians through the transformative power of sport and the Guelph Storm are thankful for the opportunity to spread this message at our Special Olympics game on Sunday, November 13th,” said Matt Newby, Vice President, Business Operations of the Guelph Storm.
