Shutout Hunger for Chalmers sponsored by Meridian Credit Union
Friday, March 15th is the third annual Shutout Hunger for Chalmers game sponsored by Meridian Credit Union as the Saginaw Spirit visit the Sleeman Centre for the final time during the regular season.
Every day, in Guelph and across Ontario people struggle to make ends meet, often having to choose between the most basic needs like paying rent or buying food to eat. Now, Meridian Credit Union, Chalmers Community Services Centre, and the Guelph Storm are joining forces to fight food insecurity in our communities — and you can make a difference.
When you enter the rink, volunteers will be on hand in the Community Corner at the top of section 116 to collect your much-needed non-perishable food items supporting the Chalmers. Fans will receive a puck for every item donated to participate in the second intermission Chuck-a-Puck.
Tickets to Friday’s game can be purchased online here or at the Storm box office by calling 519-837-9690 or in person at 50 Woolwich Street, Guelph, ON.
A part of our community since 1997, Chalmers Community Services Centre offers food, diapers, clothing and other household items to individuals and families in need and works with other organizations on the issue of food security.
