Sunday’s game on December 2nd at 2:00 pm when the Kitchener Rangers visit the Sleeman Centre will feature our annual Holiday Toy Drive in support of the Salvation Army and proudly sponsored by Zehrs®.
Storm vs. Rangers Preview
Sunday afternoon the Guelph Storm will face off against the Kitchener Rangers for the fourth time this season. The Storm are 2-1-0-0 in the head to head matchup and have outscored Kitchener 11-9 in those games.
Guelph and Kitchener are both coming off tough losses on Friday evening and will both be looking to get 2 points on Sunday afternoon. Kitchener Rangers
Jonathan Yantsis is having quite the season for the Kitchener Rangers thus far, with career high numbers through 27 games. Jonathan has scored a career high 20 goals this season as well as career high 9 assists for 29 points this year.
Guelph Storm
Anthony Popovich is well on his to having a career year for the Guelph Storm. He is on pace for career highs in wins, GAA and SV%, and has been playing at a very high level for the last 3 weeks. Anthony has been the #1 goalie for the Storm for the second consecutive season, and will be extremely important to the success of the Storm throughout their regular season and playoff run.

Zehrs® in partnership with the Guelph Storm are rewarding fans that support the Salvation Army by donating a new unwrapped toy for local families during the holiday season. Each fan who donates an unwrapped toy (or makes a $2 cash donation) will receive a ‘Chuck-A-Puck’ to participate in the second intermission puck toss for a chance to win one of three great prizes!
New toys can be donated inside Gate 6. Prizes for the puck toss in support of the Salvation Army include a $100 gift card for Spyke’s Sports, a team autographed jersey and a team autographed collector’s stick!
Over the last two seasons, over 800 toys have been generously donated by Storm fans.
For fans that want to support this wonderful holiday season cause but are unable to attend Sunday’s game, you can drop off a new unwrapped toy at one of four local Zehrs® stores in Guelph (124 Clair Road East, 297 Eramosa Road, 160 Kortright Road West or 1045 Paisley Road East).

The Guelph Storm will be on the road next weekend taking on Sault St. Marie on Friday December 7th, Sudbury Wolves on Saturday December 8th and will take on the Generals in Oshawa on Wednesday December 11th. The next home game for the Storm is Friday December 14th taking on the Peterborough Petes at 7:30pm.
