Jason Dickinson’s cause

Jason Dickinson has worn the same silicone band on his left wrist for his entire professional career.
The Stars forward’s wristband reads “McFadden’s Movement.” It’s a reminder of both a former teammate and how important finding an emotional balance can be.“I haven’t taken it off since I got it five years ago,” Dickinson said. “It’s a reminder — I guess, some days — that shit happens. And for him, I got to see his first year in the (OHL) and the struggles he went through. I was able to respect that and understand what it means, so it’s something I believe in.”
Garret McFadden and Dickinson were teammates in the OHL with the Guelph Storm for two seasons. During the 2013-14 season, Dickinson was a key cog in a team that won the OHL Championship, while McFadden was first-round OHL selection who got buried on a deep team.
