Guelph Storm just keeps rolling along
The approaching OHL trade deadline does not weigh heavy on the heads of the Guelph Storm players.
Playing like a team that doesn’t have a care in the world, the Storm gave up two early goals to the Peterborough Petes Friday night before reeling off five straight on their way to a 5-2 victory at the Sleeman Centre.
The trade deadline is a week away.
Is the dressing room full of concern? Do players sit in their stalls discussing it? Is it a distraction? we ask captain Cam Hillis.
“Naaaah,” he said with a chuckle.
“Obviously it’s in the background, nobody’s really focused on that. Everyone’s just so confident and having a good time in there (the dressing room) and looking forward to coming to the rink every day.”
How does Hillis explain the team’s continued success?
