First round pick Jett Luchanko commits to Storm
Guelph, ON – Storm General Manager & Head Coach George Burnett announced today that 2022 first round pick Jett Luchanko has signed a Standard Player Agreement with the hockey club.
The 5’11, 165 lbs forward from London, Ontario was selected 12th overall in this year’s OHL Priority Selection.
“Jett has had a terrific season leading his team to the Alliance championship and a strong showing at the OHL Cup Showcase.,” said GM and Head Coach George Burnett. “Jett is a dynamic skater that brings outstanding skill, vision, smarts, and compete to our lineup and plays both sides of the puck very effectively. He will certainly compliment our returning group of young talented forwards and play an important role on the club.”
The 2006-born Luchanko had an impressive 2021-22 season with the U16 London Junior Knights AAA team, recording 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points in 27 games during the regular season. Luchanko added 4 goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 8 playoff games.
The first-rounder also had an excellent showing at this years OHL Cup Showcase, notching 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points in 5 games.

I have a lot of hard work ahead of me and I look forward to contributing to the Storm organization on and off the ice.”
Luchanko will join the rest of the 2022 Storm prospects at the Sleeman Centre for the Orientation camp this coming weekend.
