2017 OHL Priority Selection on Saturday, April 8
The Guelph Storm will be adding to their prospect pool on Saturday, April 8 when the 2017 OHL Priority Selection gets underway.
Slated to select 16 times over the 15-round draft, the Storm will begin their day by picking second overall in the opening round. Last season, the Storm held the first overall selection and used it to choose the 2016-17 Wellington Motors Rookie of Year, Ryan Merkley, a defenceman out of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens program.
Guelph will have the first pick in the second round before making picks in the third (three selections), fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, 10th, 11th (two selections), 12th, 13th, and 14th rounds.
The OHL Priority Selection begins at 9:00 am with the Barrie Colts holding the 1st overall pick. The entire Priority Selection can be followed and viewed live at ontariohockeyleague.com
