AMJ Player of the Week
The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Taylor Beck is the AMJ Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 3rd.
Beck recorded four points, two goals and two assists, in two games over the weekend. The St. Catharines native was in on both third period game winning goals against the IceDogs and the Sting. On Friday night, Beck set up Michael Latta with a drop pass in the slot to lift the Storm over the IceDogs 5-4. Saturday night in Sarnia, the 19 year old was named the first star of the game as he picked up three points scoring both the tying and game winning goals as well as setting up Peter Holland for his fourth in the first.
With four points on the weekend, Beck sits tied with teammate Michael Latta for second on the Storm in points with six. He leads the team in powerplay markers with two and currently boasts a plus/minus rating of +2.
Next up, the Storm host the Erie Otters at the Sleeman Centre on Friday night for a 7:30pm start. On Saturday they travel to Saginaw before heading to Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday to take on the Greyhounds at 7:00pm.
