Saturday night before their home game versus the Kitchener Rangers, the Guelph Storm formally retired the number 18 in honour of the late Paul Fendley. The former Guelph junior died as a result of injuries suffered in the clinching game of the 1972 Centennial Cup.
The Guelph Storm would like to thank all of those that assisted in the presentation including Tom Fendley, Norm Jary, several of Paul’s former teammates with the 1971-72 CMC’s, the Highland Creek Pipe band and staff at the Sleeman Centre.
