Tracking the Storm – Mike McLean
The Oshawa, Ont., native Mike McLean was acquired by the Storm in January 2004 from the Oshawa Generals. Mike spent 4-seasons with the Storm appearing in 226 games, notching 45-goals and 51-assists. Mike has a number of OHL career highlights including the Guelph Storm Most Improved Player 2004-2005, and the Glad Mowatt MVP award 2006-2007. Mike was a member of the 2003-2004 OHL Championship team.
Following his time with the Guelph Storm, Mike spent a number of seasons in the East Coast Hockey League playing with the Elmira Jackals, Florida Everblades and Dayton Bombers. He also spent some time in the American Hockey League with the Lake Erie Monsters and the Milwaukee Admirals.
