Storm announce 2011-12 Regular Season Schedule
The Guelph Storm will kick off the 2011-2012 season in Windsor against the Spitfires on Thursday, September 22nd at 7:30pm. The first home game of the schedule is the next night when the Storm hosts the Owen Sound Attack at the Sleeman Centre on Friday, September 23rd.
The Ontario Hockey League schedule sees the Storm playing seven of its first 10 games at home, and includes a 12:00pm game on Thanksgiving Sunday as well as a 2:00pm game on New Year’s Day. For the third year in a row the Storm will play a special Monday afternoon game on Family Day at 2:00pm.
The league also released the OHL pre-season schedule. The Storm will play a total of six exhibition games, including three at the Sleeman Centre.
Kicking off the pre-season schedule at home, the Storm match up against the MIssissauga St. Michael’s Majors on Saturday, September 3rd. The following weekend, the Storm head to Mississauga on Thursday, September 8th and then return home to host the Colts the next night on Friday, September 9th. The Storm then head to Brampton to take on the Battalion on Sunday, September 11th at 2:00pm. Wrapping up the pre-season schedule the next weekend travelling to Barrie to face off against the Colts on Thursday, September 15th and then hosting the Brampton Battalion on Friday, September 16th.
