COOPER WALKER (GUELPH STORM)
Guelph Storm rookie Cooper Walker scored his first career OHL goal in a 3-2 shootout road win over the Saginaw Spirit. The 17-year-old centreman from Cambridge, Ont. tied the game at two eight minutes into the third period, ultimately sending the match to extra time. Walker now has seven points (1-6-7) through his first 21 games with the Storm. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 OHL Priority Selection, and signed with the Storm last summer after a season with the GOJHL’s Kitchener Dutchmen where he totaled 15 points (4-11-15) in 47 games. Walker also spent time with his hometown Cambridge Hawks at the Bantam and Minor Midget levels. He’s the son of Storm co-owner, OHL graduate and former NHL forward Scott Walker.
