Callahan Invited To U.S. Camp
In early January of this year, Team USA’s World Junior Championship entry made history. A little over five months later, USA Hockey announced its 2004 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp roster and schedule. Forty-two of the best American players under the age of 20 will, from Aug. 9-14, compete among two U.S. teams, plus Under-20 select teams from Sweden and Finland, at Ralph Engelstad Arenas in Thief River Falls, Minn., and Grand Forks, N.D., which will host the 2005 IIHF World Junior Championship later this year.
The Storm’s Ryan Callahan will participate in the Evaluation Camp for the second time. The 19-year old winger tied teammate Brett Trudell for playoff goals during the 2004 OHL Playoffs.
