Klein Ties Storm Playoff Record
When the Storm traded two players to Toronto for Kevin Klein in October, they knew that they had acquired one of the best defenceman in the OHL. During the playoffs, Klein has proved the team right.
Playing well over thirty minutes each night, Klein has anchored the Storm defence along with Daniel Girardi, Niko Tuomi and Ryan Card. The foursome has helped the team hold their opposition to slightly over 2 goals per game during the post-season.
With Klein’s two goal effort on Friday in London, the Kitchener native, has also continued his solid offensive play. Clearly Klein’s playoff experience with Toronto and World Junior Championship experience has payed off this year, as Klein has notched 8 goals and 8 assists in 14 playoff games.
The 4th year rearguard has tied Kevin Dallman’s Storm record for most goals in one post-season by a defenceman with 8. Dallman set the team record in 2002.
