Joe Ranger Commits to Steelheads
The Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to also announce the commitment of their fourth-round pick from the 2018 OHL Priority Selection, Joe Ranger. Selected 63rd overall, the Carp, Ontario native was the first goaltender selected by the Steelheads in the Priority Selection.
The 5’11”, 195-pound goaltender recorded a 2.98 goals against average (GAA) and a 0.908 save percentage (SV%) for the Carleton Place Canadians Midget AAA team this season. Steelheads head coach and general manager James Richmond is happy to welcome Joe and his family to Mississauga, adding “Joe was one of the top goalie prospects in his age group and we look forward to watching him develop into a top OHL goalie.”
