Thomas Harley Commits to Steelheads
The Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to announce the commitment of defenseman, Thomas Harley, a Steelheads’ first round selection of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. Harley was selected 14th overall from the Vaughan Kings of the GTHL.
A native of Syracuse, New York, Harley registered 24 points (five goals, 19 assists) in 35 games played this season (2016-17) with the Vaughan Kings. Steelheads’ general manager, James Boyd, describes Harley as a “reliable defender with excellent size, skill and mobility. He has the tools to play in all three-zones; transition the puck, contribute offensively and create stability from the back-end. Thomas was a leader on the 2016 – 17 Vaughan Kings Minor Midget Team, who had a successful GTHL Playoff run and OHL Cup competition. Steelheads fans will enjoy the effort that Thomas brings on a game to game basis.”
The Mississauga Steelheads proudly welcome Thomas and the Harley family to the organization!
