PREVIEW: Spirit continue West Division road swing Friday in Sarnia
Sarnia, Ont. – The Saginaw Spirit (18-39-1-0) continues their road swing Friday night by traveling to Sarnia, Ontario to face the Sting (25-27-3-1) at Progressive Auto Sales Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Tonight features the sixth of eight meetings between the Spirit and the Sting. Saginaw opened the season series against Sarnia with a 7-4 victory in Sarnia on Nov. 5. The Sting won the following four meetings, including the last on Mar. 2, which was a 10-6 decision at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena. In the last three games against Saginaw, the Sting have scored six or more goals.
Last Time Out
Saginaw: The Spirit were outgunned in an offensive showdown with the Windsor Spitfires Thursday night in an 8-5 loss. Four Spitfires players had three-point efforts, while Dalton Duhart had two goals and an assist for the Spirit. Josh Bloom scored his 27th goal of the year, that was just seconds away from setting a team record for shorthanded goals in a single season.
Sarnia: Sarnia has a four-point lead on the Erie Otters for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Sarnia is stinging after a 5-0 loss Tuesday to the streaking Owen Sound Attack. Attack goaltender Nick Chenard made 28 saves to earn his third shutout of the season. Deni Goure scored a goal and two assists to lead the way for the Attack. The Sting tied a season-high with 10 goals in their previous game Sunday against the London Knights.
