Tucker Robertson Signs Entry-Level Contract with Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken announced today that they have signed Petes forward Tucker Robertson to a three-year entry-level contract.
Robertson, a 2003-born forward from Toronto, ON, was a fourth round selection, 123rd overall, by the Kraken in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. An assistant captain for the Petes this year, Robertson scored 36 goals and added 54 assists in 68 games to become the first Pete since 2002-03 to record 90 points in a season. He added another 22 points in 23 postseason games to lead the Petes their 2023 OHL Championship. Robertson also featured in all five of the Petes 2023 Memorial Cup games, scoring a goal and two assists.
“On behalf of the Petes, I’d like to congratulate Tucker on signing his first NHL contract,” noted Petes General Manager Mike Oke. “Over the past couple of years, Tucker has proven himself to be one of the top players in the Ontario Hockey League and we’re happy to see him be rewarded for his hard work.”
This year, Robertson was awarded the Petes Executive Trophy as the team’s MVP. Robertson also won the trophy in 2021-22, after a breakout season that saw him score 41 goals and add 40 assists in 68 games. Originally selected by the Petes in the fourth round of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, Robertson sits 31st on the team’s all-time scoring list with 189 points in 191 games.
