Tonight, the Petes are looking to spoil the Eastern Conference leaders’ final trip to the PMC in the regular season.
After being a last-minute scratch in Hamilton’s last visit on March 15, Mason McTavish is expected to face his former teammates and return to the PMC for the first time tonight since being dealt prior to the trade deadline. The former Pete is on a three-game point streak, collecting six points (1G, 5A).
Tucker Robertson leads the Petes roster with 14 points (8G, 6A) against Hamilton this season. The 2022 NHL Draft prospect is first in the league with 802 faceoff wins and is tied for second in the OHL with six shorthanded goals.
George Diaco (2G, 10A) and Nathan Staios (1G, 11A) lead the Bulldogs’ roster with 12 points against Peterborough this season.
Justin DeZoete has four points in his last four games (2G, 2A).
Bulldogs’ point leader Logan Morrison is sixth in the OHL scoring with 87 points and tied for fourth in the OHL with 55 assists.
Nathan Staios is tied for first in the OHL with 56 points (14G, 42A) amongst defencemen.
The Petes are tied with the Saginaw Spirit with 15 shorthanded goals – first in the OHL. Tucker Robertson is second in the league with six shorthanded tallies.
After stopping all 16 shots in a 3-0 win on Sunday, Marco Costantini now leads the OHL with six shutouts. He’s 2nd in the league with 2.41 goals against average and a .914 save percentage.
The maroon and white will be without Captain Shawn Spearing and defenceman Konnor Smith tonight. Emmett Sproule remains questionable.
