Petes Mourn the Loss of Captain Shawn Spearing’s Father, Shawn

The Peterborough Petes are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Shawn Spearing Sr., the father of Peterborough Petes’ Captain Shawn Spearing.

Shawn Sr. passed away earlier this week at the age of 56. Husband of Helen and cherished father of Amanda, Jessica and Shawn, he will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. 

The Peterborough Petes would like to express our sincerest condolences to Shawn and the entire Spearing family. The team will wear commemorative helmet decals in Shawn Spearing Sr.’s honour starting next week.
