Petes Host Hamilton in Game 3 On Wednesday Night
The Peterborough Petes will be hosting OHL playoff hockey for the first time since 2019! As the Hamilton Bulldogs come into town, they will have to deal with a roaring crowd composed of the best fans in the OHL and the best mascot getting the PMC buzzing.
Peterborough lost each of the first two games by the score of 5-2. Throughout 120 minutes, goaltender Michael Simpson has been electric and the guys in front of him have not been intimidated by the Eastern Conference’s top seed.
The Petes have taken away Hamilton’s speed through body checks. Peterborough has already tallied a short-handed marker. Soon, the Maroon and White will be able to employ their aggressive forecheck in their own barn. Simpson and co. have one of the best records at home: 19-13-1-1.

The theme for the 2022 Petes Playoffs is #AlwaysAThreat. The Petes led the CHL in shorthanded goals, and play with a level of physicality and grit beyond most other teams in the league, making them dangerous in all three zones. Although entering Round 1 as an underdog, the team has shown how strong they can be, especially in the 2nd half of the season. The Petes have outscored opponents 20-7 in the past four games and are ready to strike in the playoffs.
Fans can also purchase a special limited edition playoff t-shirt featuring the 2022 theme #AlwaysAThreat. Season Ticket Members save at the Petes Store, and a special ticket & t-shirt bundle is available for just $45+HST at the Petes Store in-person and online.
