Petes Acquire Defenceman Hudson Wilson from the Ottawa 67’s
Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced Wednesday that the team has acquired overage defenceman Hudson Wilson from the Ottawa 67’s in exchange for an OHL Priority Selection pick.
Wilson, a 1999-born blue liner, was selected in 3rd round, 52nd overall by the 67’s in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The 6’3”, 193lbs Toronto native has registered 5 goals, 36 assists, 41 points, 134 penalty minutes, and a +38 plus/minus rating in 218 regular season games, all with the 67’s. Wilson also brings 28 games of postseason experience, 18 of which came during Ottawa’s playoff run to the 2019 OHL Championship Finals.
“Hudson provides greater depth at the defence position,” commented Oke. “As an overage player he brings a lot of experience, both in the regular season and playoffs.”
In the deal, Ottawa acquires London’s fourth round selection in 2022.
Wilson is expected to be in the lineup for tomorrow’s game against the Sarnia Sting at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
