Peterborough concludes battles against Central Division foes with Next-Gen Game
Chase Stillman will face his former team as the Peterborough Petes prepare for three contests against Central Division opponents. The Petes take on the Sudbury Wolves, North Bay Battalion, and Barrie Colts in what is sure to be an exciting trio of games.
The Petes conclude their season series against the Wolves on Thursday, returning to the Sudbury Community Arena for the first time since Oct. 8, 2021. Peterborough defeated Sudbury in the club’s home opener six days later by the score of 5-3. Tucker Robertson collected one goal and three assists to be named the first star of the night. While Stillman was held off the score sheet during the first meeting against his former teammates on Jan. 13, the hometown legacy has since gone on an offensive tear by registering 12 points in 14 games.
The Maroon and White make a trip to North Bay for the final meeting with the Battalion. Peterborough defeated North Bay 5-3 the last time these teams met. James Guo scored his first OHL goal and Emmett Sproule assisted on J.R. Avon’s game-winning power play goal.
Then, the Petes come home for Monday’s Next-Gen game facing the Colts. Coach Cal will be in the building as well as other future stars of the game. The Petes and Colts have not met since Peterborough edged Barrie in overtime, 5-4, back on Nov. 13, 2021.
