The Petes will look to take advantage of a tired Ottawa squad after they snapped their four-game losing streak in a 3-2 overtime victory against North Bay Battalion last night.
Sporule can’t be stopped????After picking up two assists on Thursday, Emmett Sproule extended his OHL’s longest point streak to 18 games, amassing eight goals and 21 assists this season. He’s one game away from tying the Petes’ longest point streak in modern history, which is led by Nick Robertson at 19 games.
Keepin’ an eye on Gaidamak: Peterborough will look to prevent Ottawa’s Vsevolod Gaidamak from scoring, as he’s tied for first in the OHL with five game-winning goals.
After being held off the scoresheet on Thursday night, Tucker Robertson will look to rebound and jump back into first place in the OHL scoring race.
Due to injuries in the crease, goalie Max Donoso will make his OHL debut today for the 67’s.
Head Coach Rob Wilson and rookie forward Nick Lardis are attending Hockey Canada’s U17 Capital City Challenge in Ottawa and will be absent from today’s game. Ottawa’s Chris Barlas and Luca Pinelli are also attending.
Peterborough has a 1-1-0-0 record in afternoon games this season and Tye Austin is expected to start between the pipes this afternoon.
