The IceDogs will look to replicate some of their success from last years Priority Selection which saw them select 16 prospects across the 15 rounds. It would be an impactful class for the IceDogs which saw seven of the drafted players suit up in regular season action. This was led by Ryan Roobroeck (28 goals, 23 assists, 51 points) who was picked second overall. Meanwhile, Ethan Czata (5th overall), Artem Frolov (28th overall) and Ivan Galiyanov (68th overall) all contributed with big minutes for the IceDogs all season long. Eric He (145th overall), Darcy Dewachter (163rd overall) and Rafek Dianov (234rd overall) would all see gametime, primarily as affiliate players before signing an OHL scholarship and development agreement on February 8th, 2024.
Rounds 1-3 will begin today, Friday April 12th at 7pm, followed by rounds 4-15 on Saturday April 13th beginning at 9am. You can follow the entire process online at www.ontariohockeyleague.com and streaming live on OHL Live. Day 1 of the Priority Selection will be aired across the province on YourTV, Rogers tv, Eastlink, Cable 14 and Shaw Spotlight community stations.
