TRADE – Corson acquired from Colts
Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Dubas announced earlier today that the club has completed a transaction with the Barrie Colts acquiring 19-year old DYLAN CORSON.
In exchange the Hounds transfer the rights to Nick Pastorious along with a 15th Round Selection in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.
“The addition of Dylan to our Program today is a transaction done to bolster the depth of our forward group and give our coaching staff another player who shows the ability to play versus very solid quality of competition and be an effective penalty killer” began GM Kyle Dubas.
“We also like the fact tat Dylan has shown the ability to produce points at even strength, and feel that he has the ability to not only add the above qualities but also chip in offensively with our hockey club. We look forward to welcoming Dylan to Sault Ste. Marie.”
Corson was a key part of Barrie’s run to the 2013 OHL Championship, where he played a key role on the Colts penalty kill and playing versus the oppositions 2nd scoring group.
The 5.11, 190 lb centreman has played in 32 games for the Colts this season, grabbing 3 goals and 10 assists to go along with a +9 rating.
He was originally selected in the 6th Round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection by Belleville.
Dylan will join the Hounds for practice on Boxing Day (December 26) in Sault Ste. Marie
