Spitfires double up Hounds 4-2

A late empty net goal sealed the Soo Greyhounds fate on Thursday night in Windsor.
Kenny Ryan’s marker with 1:03 remaining lifted the Windsor Spitfires to a 4-2 victory over the Hounds.
Trailing 3-1 heading into the third period, Daniel Catenacci had scored 40 seconds into the frame to pull the Hounds to within a goal.
Brett Findlay also scored for the Greyhounds while Brett Thompson picked up two assists. Zack Kassian, Eric Locke and Alexander Khokhlachev also tallied for the Spitfires.
Chris Perugini took the loss in goal for the Hounds, who were outshot 38-25. Jack Campbell earned the win.
Forward Rudy Sulmonte suited up for his first game as a Hound and was held off the score sheet.
The Greyhounds continue their three-game west division road swing on Saturday night in Plymouth and Sunday afternoon in Sarnia.
