New Age. New Look UNVEILED

Earlier this afternoon, the new look Soo Greyhounds were unveiled.  And while the on-ice product won’t be determined until just under a week from now, the organization showcased their 2013-14 jersey’s and uniform to fans and special guests at the Delta Sault Ste. Marie waterfront.

The event was organized in conjunction with, and supported by OLG Casino Sault Ste. Marie.

“The move today to unveil our new look is a move for us to simply get back to being ourselves.  The Soo Greyhounds at their inception were red and white.  This look gets us back to that.  It is a pure, classy, and simple look.” stated Hounds GM Kyle Dubas.

When players Sergey Tolchinsky (Premier White jersey), Darnell Nurse (Premier Red jersey) and Jared McCann (Premier “third” jersey) stepped onto the stage they received a standing ovation in support of the new look.

The Hounds new jersey’s and uniforms began the design process with Reebok over a year ago.  At that time the decision was made to eliminate the grey and go back to the traditional red and white colours.  The stars have been eliminated from the pants, but remain above the circle logo crest.
The Premier third jersey exemplifies a simply, classy look that accentuates the red and Greyhound dog that our team brand is known for

The new uniforms and jerseys will not be officially used in OHL game action until the regular season.
