Hughes leads Team Coffey to opening scrimmage Victory

Forty-three Soo Greyhounds hopefuls stepped onto the ice for the first time Saturday morning all part of Development Camp 2012.
And after off-ice testing on Friday night (special thanks again to Superior Heights Collegiate & Vocational School), the players began their quest to dawn the “Red & White” Greyhounds jersey for the upcoming season and a invite to the team’s main training camp.

After an early morning goalie session and practices by both clubs, Team Foote (Red) and Team Coffey (Black) squared off at 10 a.m. for their first of three scrimmages this weekend.  The game was split into four, 12-minute sessions ensuring all goalies in camp were put into camp action.

The two teams will meet again this afternoon at the John Rhodes Community Centre at 5:30 p.m.  Admission is FREE for spectators and we encourage all Hounds fans to come out and support the particpating players
