Hounds Make Two Trades
The Soo Greyhounds were involved in a pair of Ontario Hockey League trades today.
In the first move, the Hounds traded overage forward Sean Stefanski to the Sudbury Wolves in exchange for a fourth round selection in the 2004 Ontario Hockey League draft. The Wolves acquired the pick from Brampton in a deal yesterday. The Hounds also obtained overage forward COLT KING (pictured) from the Oshawa Generals in exchange for a fourth round pick in 2004. The Soo had received the pick in a trade with the Erie Otters last season.
King, a native of Thunder Bay, Ontario finished fourth in scoring with the Gens last season with 41 points in 66 games. He had 19 goals, and 22 assists. King's best OHL season was the 2000-2001 campaign when he scored 25 goals, 27 assists and 52 points in 65 games with the Guelph Storm. King attended the Minnesota Wild's NHL training camp as a free agent last month. He will arrive in the city Thursday and makes his Greyhound debut Friday night when the Hounds host the Saginaw Spirit.
