Pucek looks to round out his game

At this point, just two games into a new Ontario Hockey League season, the Soo Greyhounds are optimistic, yet not quite sure what they have.
On the one hand, rookie winger Roman Pucek possesses a high skill level and a non-stop motor.
“Roman works extremely hard,” Hounds general manager Kyle Raftis said of the 18-year-old (2000 birth year) native of Vsetin, Czech Republic. “He has a real fire in him and he’s a guy who can really help out offensively.”
“His skill is a little underrated,” added head coach John Dean, whose team is preparing for a two-game road trip which begins on Friday (7:30 p.m.) in London and concludes the following evening in Sarnia (7:05 p.m.). “He listens, he absorbs, and he wants to be an impact player at this level.”
But as is the case with the majority of first-year players, Pucek has some rough spots that need smoothing out.
