2016 Development Camp DETAILS RELEASED
The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club will open their 2016 Development Camp this weekend when thirty-one prospects arrive in Sault Ste. Marie.
Set for Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, all of this year’s camp will take place at the Essar Centre (home of the Hounds).
Over the course of the camp, players will take part in a variety of events ranging from fitness testing, skill sessions, practices, team meetings and on-ice activities.
The on-ice activities (open to the general public) are as follows:
Friday, May 13, 2016
• 9 a.m. – Team White on-ice begins
• 11:20 a.m. – Team Red on-ice begins
• 6 p.m. – Scrimmage; Team Red vs Team White
Saturday, May 14, 2016
• 9 a.m. – Team Red Practice
• 10 a.m. – Team White Practice
• 5 p.m. – “Full Game Experience” Scrimmage; Team Red vs Team White
This year’s camp will be broken down into two teams.
– 31 total players; 4 goalies, 12 defenseman, 15 forwards
– 13 players were selected in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, 7 were selected in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection while 11 are FREE AGENT invites.
