Hounds release 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule (CALENDARS INSIDE)
In conjunction with the Ontario Hockey League, the Soo Greyhounds released their 2014-15 regular season schedule earlier this morning.
The reigning West Division Champions will open their 43rd season on Friday, September 26th versus the Sarnia Sting (7:07 p.m.).
With eighteen potential returnees, the Hounds will square off against their division rivals and 2014 1st overall selection Jakob Chychrun.
One day later (Sat. Sept 27) they host the projected 1st round NHL draft choice Brendan Perlini and the Niagara IceDogs in their lone regular season visit to Sault Ste. Marie.
The locals will play six of their first seven games on home ice and a special priced “Fast Five” ticket pack will be available that includes 5 of those games. (More details coming soon)
The Hounds head out on the road for the first time of the season Friday, October 3rd at Sudbury to kick off this year’s edition of the Bell Challenge Cup against the Wolves.
Some schedule notes:
* The home portion of the Hounds schedule will include 1 Tuesday, 8 Wednesday, 10 Friday, 10 Saturday and 5 Sunday contests.
Tuesday/Friday/Saturday games remain unchanged at 7:07 p.m. while Sunday games are slated for 2:07 p.m starts.
* The defending OHL Champion Guelph Storm will skate into the Essar Centre on Saturday, November 29 and Friday, January 16
* Regular season concludes on Sunday, March 22nd versus the Kitchener Rangers
* A number of theme nights will be arranged and released at a later time
