Zach Senyshyn “Hitting for Hospice” Softball Tournament (June 10-12, 2016)
Soo Greyhounds forward Zach Senyshyn has been actively involved in the public spotlight of his adopted hometown of Sault Ste. Marie the past two OHL seasons.
Now this summer the Ottawa, ON will return to the Lock City to operate an event in support of our local community hospice, ARCH.
“ARCH Hospice is such an important part of our community, this is a great opportunity for us to come together and support such an amazing cause” began Senyshyn.
“It’s been such an amazing experience being a part of the Sault Ste. Marie community and I’m excited to be able to give back, and provide this beneficial event for ARCH” he added.
The inaugural “Zach Senyshyn Hitting for Hospice” Softball Tournament will take to the fields of Strathclair Park the weekend of June 10-12, 2016.
Featuring a Men’s and Co-Ed Division, the double-elimination tournament will offer baseball enthusiasts a fun, filled three-day weekend of action.
All proceeds from the tournament will go to ARCH.
“When we got wind that Zach wanted to organize a softball tournament for ARCH, we were more than excited. What Zach is doing for our community is wonderful – not only is he a talented hockey player, but he’s got such a genuine passion for helping others” started Alex Manta, Marketing & Events Associate with ARCH.
“For many hockey players, the summer months afford them the opportunity to step away from the spotlight but Zach continues to show just how important supporting our community is by helping to raise much needed funds that allow ARCH to provide quality compassionate care through end-of-life.” she added.
