Hounds acquire MacIntyre from Mississauga
Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis announced late today that the club has acquired forward BOBBY MACINTYRE from the Mississauga Steelheads.
In exchange the Hounds send Missisauga a 9th Round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
“We believe as a player Bobby will be a great fit to our style of play. As a player Bobby brings great speed, tenacity and relentlessness puck pursuit to his game each and every night which will be a great compliment to our current forward group” stated Raftis.
Originally selected in the 2nd Round (28th overall) of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection, MacIntyre has played three seasons with the Steelheads accumulating 21 goals and 34 assistants in 181 games played.
The Whitby, ON native had a career best season one year ago tallying 24 points (5g, 19a) in 59 regular season games played.
The newest Greyhound is expected to be in the line-up on Friday when the Hounds open their 2015 exhibition schedule with a trip to Saginaw.
Game time is 7:05 p.m. versus the Spirit at the Dow Event Center.
