BULLDOGS ACQUIRE FULCHER FROM STING
HAMILTON, ONT.–The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club announced today they have acquired goaltender Kaden Fulcher from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for goaltender Charlie Graham.
Graham, 20, has been with the Hamilton Bulldogs/Belleville Bulls organization for his entire OHL career collecting 68 wins and posting a 3.32 goals against average over five seasons.
George Burnett, Head Coach and General Manager, admits it was not an easy decision to move a player he has coached for five seasons, “Charlie has been a very valuable member of our hockey club on the ice as well as a leader in the community from day one.”
Fulcher, 17, is undefeated in three starts this season with Sarnia and has posted a 3.30 goals against average and an .890 save percentage. The 6’3 186 pound netminder was selected in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection out of The Hill Academy Prep team. Burnett calls Fulcher, “A big athletic goaltender who has had a great start to his junior career and we look forward to seeing him develop.”
The Bulldogs also announced that defenceman Christian Mieritz was claimed by the Guelph Storm. Burnett says, “Christian had a wonderful experience at the recent World Junior Hockey Championships representing Denmark. He is a terrific young man and teammate. He deserves the opportunity to continue to play and develop within our program.”
The ‘Dogs are back in action Friday night when they visit the Kitchener Rangers at 7:30p.m. Hamilton returns to the FirstOntario Centre on Friday, January 15th against the Barrie Colts.
