OHL to Hold 215-second Moment of Reflection to Begin 2021 OHL Priority Selection
A Statement from the Canadian Hockey League
It is with great sadness that the Canadian Hockey League extends its deepest condolences to the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation, the families of the 215 children who tragically lost their lives while attending the Kamloops Indian Residential School, and members of the Indigenous community who have been impacted.
Across the CHL, we strive to continually improve our efforts to work in harmony with members of the Indigenous community, the CHL will continue to support our Indigenous players, staff, officials, fans, and families as we navigate this journey towards truth and reconciliation.
In honour of the memory of the 215 Indigenous children whose remains were recently found at a residential school in British Columbia, the #OHL will be holding a 215 second moment of silence to begin Friday’s 2021 #OHLDraft on @YouTube.#EveryChildMatters | #REMEMBER215 pic.twitter.com/7SJdgq8ZsG
