FULCHER SHINES IN WIN OVER WOLVES
Looking to avenge a 6-4 loss in Sudbury Friday night, the Hamilton Bulldogs returned home to FirstOntario Centre and gutted out a 4-2 win over the Wolves Saturday night.
The two teams exchanged goals in the first period with Sudbury scoring on the power-play early with the Bulldogs responding with a Matthew Strome (7) goal under two minutes later.
The Wolves jumped out to a 2-1 lead mid-way through the second, but the Bulldogs got a power-play goal from Will Bitten (2) and what turned out to be the game winner off the stick of Michael Cramarossa (6) to take a 3-2 lead to the dressing room after forty minutes.
It was then the Kaden Fulcher show in the third period as the Bulldogs goaltender weathered a barrage from the Wolves as the visitors fired twenty-one shots at the Hamilton net failing to beat Fulcher.
The Bulldogs got some insurance as Mackenzie Entwistle (7) scored short-handed at 10:34 to finish the scoring.
Final shots on goal favoured Sudbury 37-29 again showing why Fulcher was named the first star.
With the win the Bulldogs remain perfect on home ice at 3-0 improving their regular season record to 7-2.
It’s another three in three weekend ahead starting in Kitchener Friday October 21st before returning for two at home at FirstOntario Centre on Saturday October 22nd at 7 pm against North Bay with the London Knights in for the Pink in the Rink game on Sunday October 23rd at 2 pm.
