The Attack came out with guns a blazing and had an early 10-0 advantage on the shot clock and a 2-0 lead on the scoreboard before the mid-way point of the 1st period. The Bulldogs tied it up at 2-2 with goals from Arthur Kaliyev (10) and Kade Landry (2) only to see Owen Sound take a 3-2 lead with a late goal.
Hamilton dominated the 2nd period and led 5-4 lead thanks to goals from Mackenzie Entwistle (5) and two more on the power-play from Arthur Kaliyev (11, 12) as he completed his first career hat-trick.
The back and forth battle continued in the 3rd as the Attack scored early to tie the game 5-5, followed by Mackenzie Entwistle’s (6) second of the game a little over two minutes later to make it 6-5, finished off with Owen Sound drawing even again at 6-6 to force overtime.
The Attack out-shot the Bulldogs 6-0 in overtime, but Hamilton goalie Nick Donofrio stood his ground to force a shootout.
