CONNOR McMICHAEL SCORES IN TEAM CANADA WHITE’S WIN AT WORLD U-17 HOCKEY CHALLENGE
Bulldogs forward Connor McMichael scored his first goal at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, B.C. on Tuesday as Team Canada White defeated the Czech Republic 7-2.
McMichael’s second period goal gave Canada White a 5-0 lead. Jakob Pelletier (Moncton Wildcats) scored twice while Ethan Keppen (Flint Firebirds), Jake Lee (Seattle Thunderbirds), Joe Carroll (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds) and Braden Schneider (Brandon Wheat Kings) also scored in the win. Graeme Clarke (Ottawa 67’s) picked up four assists while goalie Taylor Gauthier (Prince George Cougars) made 25 saves.
Canada White out-shot the Czechs 35-27 and improves to 1-1-1 in the tournament while the Czech Republic falls to 0-3-0.

Canada White (1-1-1) will now take on Finland (2-1) in Quarterfinal action on Thursday.
