1ST STAR: COLE COSKEY (SAGINAW SPIRIT):
Fourth-year veteran Cole Coskey had a night to remember, joining Vincent Trocheck as the second player in Saginaw Spirit history to record six points in a game. Coskey’s first OHL hat-trick also included three assists as the Spirit captured the I-75 Divide Cup, defeating the Flint Firebirds for a fifth straight time this season, doing so on Wednesday by a score of 9-1 on the road. Coskey pushes his production to 45 points (20-25–45) through 33 games this season as the Spirit won their fourth straight contests and eighth in the past nine games. The 19-year-old Zion, Ill. product was Saginaw’s third round pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. He attended rookie camp with the Buffalo Sabres this past September.

2ND STAR: KEVIN HANCOCK (OWEN SOUND ATTACK):
Kevin Hancock‘s second hat-trick of the season was enough to lift the Owen Sound Attack to a 3-2 win over visiting division rival Guelph on Wednesday. After a scoreless first, Hancock scored twice in the second and netted the game winner midway through the third as the Bears climbed to within two points of the second place Storm in the Midwest Division. Hancock’s 62 points (31-31–62) over 37 games lead the team. The 20-year-old from Mississauga, Ont. has points in eight of his last nine games and is one goal shy of 100 on his OHL career. Hancock attended rookie camp with the Buffalo Sabres this past September.

3RD STAR: AVERY HAYES (HAMILTON BULLDOGS):
Sixteen-year-old rookie Avery Hayes is an emerging young talent for the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Westland, Mich. native put up his first OHL multi-goal contest, steering the Dogs past the visiting Kingston Frontenacs 7-1 with a pair to his credit. Hayes has 11 points (5-6–11) through his first 35 games in the league after being Hamilton’s sixth round pick in 2018 from the Honeybaked U16 program. Hayes won’t be eligible for the NHL Draft until 2021.
