BULLDOGS ACQUIRE ZAKARY LAVOIE FROM ICEDOGS
BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. The Brantford Bulldogs have completed a trade with the Niagara IceDogs on Tuesday, acquiring forward Zakary Lavoie in exchange for three draft selections, 2025 3rd (FLNT), 2026 3rd (BFD), 2025 8th (BFD).
Lavoie, a product of Orleans, was originally selected in the 1st round, 7th overall, by the Mississauga Steelheads in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Lavoie arrived in the OHL, scoring 23 goals & 44 points as a rookie in the 2021-22 season. The fleet-footed right winger continued to rack up points in the 2022-23 season split between Mississauga & Niagara potting 29 goals & 57 points. Named the IceDogs captain for the 2023-24 season Lavoie brings explosive speed to the Bulldogs lineup with an offensive touch that will excite the Brantford crowd.
