BULLDOGS ACQUIRE DRAFT SELECTIONS FROM KNIGHTS FOR DIACO
HAMILTON, ONTARIO. Hamilton Bulldogs Interim General Manager Matt Turek today announced the acquisition of a 2nd Round Draft Selection in 2024 and 3rd Round Draft Selection in 2023 from the London Knights in exchange for overage forward George Diaco.
Diaco, a London product, was originally selected in the 6th round, 101st overall in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection Draft and made himself into an offensive driver with the Bulldogs. Diaco posted 27 goals and 43 assists for 70 points while appearing in all 68 games for the Bulldogs in the 2021-22 season, adding another 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 19 playoff games on route to winning the 2022 OHL Championship.
Diaco has started the 2022-23 season strong with 2 goals and 2 assists in 2 games.
The Hamilton Bulldogs would like to thank George for his incredible contributions to the team and the community.
