BULLDOGS ACQUIRE ARBER XHEKAJ FROM RANGERS
HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs have completed a trade with the Kitchener Rangers acquiring overage defenseman Arber Xhekaj in exchange for overage forward Navrin Mutter and draft selections (2nds in 2022 & 2025, 3rds in 2023 & 2024 & a conditional 4th in 2023).
Xhekaj, a Hamilton native, comes to his hometown Bulldogs having skated in 128 career OHL games with the Kitchener Rangers. This season Xhekaj has recorded 6 goals & 11 assists for 17 points in 18 games. Xhekaj also brings a tremendous story to the Bulldogs, never having been drafted, earning his way to the OHL and following a tremendous training camp in Montreal signing an ELC with the Canadiens in 2021.
