Gee-Gees’ Matthieu Methot named most sportsmanlike

Ottawa native Matthieu Methot of the University of Ottawa was named the OUA East Division’s most sportsmanlike player on Monday. Methot was second in scoring on the Gee-Gees hockey team with 28 points while collecting just six penalty minutes in 27 games. Carleton Ravens’ Brandon MacLean was named to the OUA East first all-star team. MacLean’s teammate, defenceman Matt Stanisz, was named to the all-rookie team. Stanisz was joined by Gee-Gees goaltender Russell Abbott and forward Alexandre Touchette (Gatineau). RMC forward Scott Domenico, from Ottawa, also was on the team.
