67’s to host Holiday Game on December 13
By: Ottawa67s.com Staff
The holiday season is right around the corner, but it won’t be as cheerful for every child in Ottawa-Gatineau. Hundreds of boy and girls in throughout the region will have very little to celebrate, which is why the 67’s have partnered with the Salvation Army for our annual Teddy Bear Toss game. The important event is essential to putting smiles on the faces of those children who do not get to experience the holidays as we do.
Fans are invited to bring a new or gently used teddy bear to the 67’s game on Sunday, December 13 at 3 p.m. to donate to a family in need. When the 67’s score their first goal of the game, we toss our bears onto the ice for pick up and delivery to the Salvation Army for distribution. Our friends at Kal Tire are providing the sleigh, well a truck really, to transport our precious cargo to the kids.
Nothing will fill your heart with the holiday spirit like the joy of knowing you’ve made a difference in the life of a child. So get a bear, tell a friend, get your tickets and let’s make this the best Teddy Bear Toss ever!
Added Bonus, Sing for Santa and Autograph Session
School choirs from all over Ottawa-Gatineau will add to the festive Teddy Bear spirit by singing for Santa. Young and old will have a ball as we deck the halls and sing all your holiday favourites.
The boys will also stick around after the game to sign autographs. Make sure to pick up some 67’s merch, so you can have it signed by your favourite players.
So bring your teddy bear and your singing voice on Sunday, December 13 at 3 p.m. If you don’t have your tickets yet, purchase them here, visit the TD Place Box Office or call 613-232-6767 x1. And please share this message with your friends/colleagues who would also want to support this important cause.
Tickets for all 67’s home games can be purchased here.
Youth hockey players in the Ottawa-Gatineau region can obtain free tickets to any 67’s regular-season home game through the 67’s Prospects program. Visit the 67’s Prospects website for details, or call 613-232-6767, x1.
