It’s now do or die for the Titan.
Tonight, the Titan was hosting the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in this 4th game of a best of seven series, the Armada was leading 2-1.
The first period wasn’t the most exciting, despite lots of shots, 12-11 for the Armada. The visitors opened up the scoring at around the midway mark of the period, scoring on the power play. They doubled their lead a few minutes later. The Titan had a few scoring chances afterwards but nothing convincing. The scoring was 2-0 Armada after one period of play.
The number of shots in the second is misleading, despite the shots fairly even at 8-7, the Armada had a clear edge in the play. No teams scored during the period but the visitors were constantly in the Titan zone. The score was still 2-0 after 2 periods.
The Armada took the wind out of the Titan team right at the beginning of the third period, scoring a shorthanded goal. Christophe Lalancette (4th) gave hope to the fans, scoring at around the 6-minute mark; this would cut the lead to 3-1. Afterwards the Titan would have some good scoring chances but Marcoux would be sharp. The visitors finished off the game with an empty net goal; final score would be 4-1 and take a 3-1 lead in the series.
Jacob Brennan made 24 saves during the game. Olivier Houle finished the game with 4 hits.
The fifth game of this series will be held in Bathurst, Friday March 29th at 7:30PM.
