In order to set you up for the live performance of Dirt Road tonight, please find below answers to the most commonly asked questions.
Q: Who is Dirt Road and what kind of music do they play?
A: The group Dirt Road was founded in 2010 by a group of 5 musicians. The group has had plenty of success through the years. Their first song on the radio, a French song named “Chic Chac” was an enormous success on the community radio. Their English song “Crazy for You” was also number 1 on the community radio station.
The group who is now composed of two of the original members, Remi Hebert, main vocals, and Jean-Guy Boudreau, harmony. The group plans to release their first CD soon. The group plays anything from Country music to rock to French Acadian music, and has performed throughout the region and the rest of Canada.
Q: When will Dirt Road be performing?
A: Dirt Road will be performing from 6pm to 6:30pm, and will then continue after the player’s warm-up until the start of the game at 7pm. They will also be offering performances during both intermissions.
Q: When can I arrive to make sure I am all set?
A: The K.C. Irving Regional Centre doors will open at 6pm.
Q: Where will the musicians play?
A: As per tradition, they will be performing from the Belledune Port Stage in section 16.
Q: Is there anything else I need to know?
A: Friday’s game will be the Remembrance Day game, so a special ceremonial face-off will take place.
Furthermore, it will be the first game with the winning seat contest. In case you missed it, here are the details:
- Starting with the game on Friday, November 6th, if the crowd at the game is over 2,500 people, a winning seat draw will take place in the amount of $2,000.
- The draw will take place amongst fans in attendance at the game, and the seat winner must be present at the moment of the draw to claim their prize.
- If the crowd total comes in below 2,500 people, a $1,000 amount will be added on to the total sum for the following game (so the prize amount would climb from $2,000 to $3,000, or from $3,000 to $4,000, etc.)
- Everything will continue until $10,000 is given out in winnings
The initiative comes in a season devoted to Generation Hockey fans being at the heart of the action.
