Titan sign goaltender Joseph Murdaca
BATHURST – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan have signed 19-year-old goaltender Joseph Murdaca and added him to the active roster.
Murdaca spent last season with the Mississauga Steelheads and Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. In two games with the Steelheads he had a 2.12 goals-against-average and a .944 save percentage. The Niagara Falls native appeared in 17 games with the Otters finishing with a 2.53 goals-against-average and a .898 save percentage.
He also played five playoff games for the Otters where he had a 1.64 goals-against-average and a .938 save percentage. Murdaca was originally drafted by the Saginaw Spirit in the 10th round, 190th overall, in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.
Joseph will be available tomorrow night when the Titan host the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at 7pm for Pink in the Rink. He’ll wear #35.
